Guitarist Kristian Sol

Kristian Sol is a professional guitarist and musician. Born in Norway, started playing the accordion at age of 6, music has been a big part of his life from early age. Discovering rock and metal years later with the greats of AC/DC, Guns N Roses, Metallica (to name a few) the lead instrument changed from accordion to guitar. Self taught to begin with, then enrolled in music school and learned the essential blues and rock historiy, the importance of improvisation and knowledge of music history embraced in songwriting and playing. Learning to stay true to the rock and blues roots.

 

Rock is closest to heart but influences stretch from Robert Johnson, The Beatles, Jimmy Page, Rory Gallager, Joe Perry, Mick Ronson, Steve Jones, Eddie Van Halen to Satriani and Dimebag Darrell to Duane Allman and Joe Walsh. The wide range of influences is what makes an interesting and colorful player. Beeing from Scandinavia the influence of Scandi-rock like Turbonegro, Gluecifer, Backyard Babies and 80s revival bands like Hardcore Superstar and Crashdiet is definitely running trough the Scandinavian blood.

 

Kris has played in several bands over the years, aswell done freelance studio- and live work. Played everything from divebars to clubs to large open air festivals (Summer Breeze, Rockmantic, Oyafestivalen, Time To Rock Fest, Tons Of Rock, Monsters Of Rock to name some).  

During the years had the great experiencec of opening up for bands like Iggy & The Stooges, LA Guns, Kvelertak, Crashdiet, Backyard Babies, Monster Magnet, Cinderella, Kill Devil Hill with Rex Brown of Pantera, Dizzy Reed from GnR among others. The main philosophy is to stay true to the roots and maintain the real deal aspect of rock'n roll. The main words are "real deal" and "integrity". Thats what its all about and what's important. Live by music and let music live in you.  

 

It's all about beeing on a stage performing and giving music to an audience.
